Print
Google Slides, Google Docs, & Google Sheets
- With the file open, at the top navigate to "File" > "Print"
- A print dialog box will pop up. Within the box, you can adjust the scale of the page to fit as desired by navigating to the "Scale" dropdown and selecting what suits your needs.
- You can also adjust whether it prints in color or black & white under the "Color" dropdown.
- Once your settings have been adjusted to your liking, hit print.
Google Forms
- With the file open, navigate to the three vertical dots in the top right corner next to your account photo
- Select "Print" at the bottom of the list of options
- A print dialog box will pop up. Within the box, you can adjust the scale of the page to fit as desired by navigating to the "Scale" dropdown and selecting what suits your needs.
- You can also adjust whether it prints in color or black & white under the "Color" dropdown.
- Once your settings have been adjusted to your liking, hit print. -
Share
Google Slides
To make a copy of the entire deck to share:
- With the file open, at the top navigate to "File" > "Make a copy" > "Entire presentation"
To make a copy of only certain slides to share:
- With the file open, select the slides you'd like to copy by clicking on them in the left-hand preview panel and holding "CTRL" or "CMD" on your keyboard.
- Once all desired slides are selected, at the top navigate to "File" > "Make a copy" > "Selected slides"
- A dialog box will pop up. Title your file as desired in the "Name" field.
- Choose where you want the file to live in your Drive by clicking on the folder icon and selecting your desired file location
- Check any desired checkboxes for the bottom section of options
- Once finished, click "Make a Copy". This will automatically open your copied file.
- To share with others, navigate to the top right of your screen and click "Share"
- Type in the desired recipients email addresses, and it will send them an invitation via email.
To download a PDF version to share:
- With the file open, at the top navigate to "File" > "Print"
- A print dialog box will pop up. In the "Destination" select "Save as PDF"
- Title your file as desired and save it on your computer

- Select "Print" at the bottom of the list of options
- A print dialog box will pop up. In the "Destination" select "Save as PDF"
- Title your file as desired and save it on your computer -
Modify
All Google File Types
To modify a copy of a file directly within Google:
- Follow the steps above under "Share" that detail how to make a copy of the desired file type
- After your copy is set up, you can begin directly modifying the file (is this even needed? lol)
To modify a PDF version of a file:
- Follow the steps above under "Share" that detail how to make a copy of the desired file type
- After you have your PDF copy downloaded onto your computer, you can edit certain page components utilizing third party software such as Canva or Adobe Acrobat
- These software break apart the PDF into layers, where you can edit the text and add or delete images as you wish
