Thanks to generous support from the Mississippi State Department of Health, we are excited to announce the opening of another position on our Youth Advisory Board of Directors (YA BOD) for one Mississippi student!

If selected, you will join the 7 existing members to fulfill the mission of the YA BOD: to inform and inspire teens to commit to a vape free lifestyle through outreach, projects, and an evidence-based curriculum.

The YA BOD meets monthly to discuss current initiatives, as well as the state of the union of the youth vaping epidemic. Current projects include reviewing and providing recommendations for CATCH My Breath in grades 9-12; developing and reviewing promotional materials for the Service Learning Project; advocating for more schools to adopt CATCH My Breath; and learning the ins and outs of the tobacco/e-cigarette policy and legislative process.

To apply for the YA BOD Position, a student must:

• Be a current resident of Mississippi
• Be enrolled in grades 5-12 
• Complete the application form (see below)

The application will close at 5:00pm CST on April 19, 2021. 

Applications will be reviewed and finalists will be notified via email to schedule an interview time during the week of May 5 , 2021.  

The selected student will be notified via email no later than May 14, 2021.
